Unleash the darkness within. Nightmare’s Edge Publishing is seeking new, original horror novels, novellas, and short story collections that claw at the boundaries of fear and plunge readers into the abyss. We want stories that haunt, unsettle, and linger like a cold breath on the nape of your neck.
What We’re Looking For:
Novels and Novellas: Spine-chilling narratives that grip from the first page to the last. Whether it’s psychological dread, cosmic horror, gothic chills, or visceral terror, we crave bold, inventive tales that redefine the genre.
Short Story Collections: Cohesive, thematically rich collections that weave nightmares into every tale. Make us afraid to turn the page, yet unable to stop.
Original Work Only: Fresh horrors born from your imagination. No reprints or previously published works.
Creative Horror Themes: Push the boundaries. Give us the uncanny, the surreal, the forbidden. Explore the shadows of the human psyche, ancient evils, or horrors yet unnamed.
Submission Guidelines:
- Manuscripts must be complete and polished. Novels and novellas: 40,000–120,000 words. Short story collections: 30,000–80,000 words.
- Submit via our portal
- Include a brief synopsis (500 words or less) and a cover letter detailing your vision for the work.
- Format: Standard manuscript format (double-spaced, 12pt Times New Roman, 1-inch margins).
- Deadline: December 31, 2025. Responses within 90 days.
